Here are some nice. crazy. silly. funny. weird. pictures for you to enjoy! Getting in touch with my heritage in Epcot. The plane ride we made fun. G to the H double T then the O. His Hat. His Glasses. He's Fun. This is how he looked most of the time. That tiny rickshaw in China. Oh my gosh. :-) "Take a picture of this! Take a picture of this!!!" Why do girls all over this country chase after him? I hate it. He loves it. I have to beat them off him off with flip flops. It's fun, actually. (lol jk.) I thought we were going on vacation to get away... but I guess I was wrong. Though I must say that he is a great subject to shoot pictures of. He's very photogenic. The sunset at Epcot. (These are just a few of the pics I took, I think total there were probably around 800 or 900. If you want to see all of them, just let me know.)

Seventeen

Image
(While at Hollywood Studios, sky writers wrote "Jesus Loves You", "Love God," "Trust in Him in the sky".) I ment to post on my brithday, but I was so busy, I forgot. (lol.) It's official. I'm Seventeen. The best age ever. It's so much older than sixteen. I don't even know why it seems like it. It just is. Maybe it's because I have entered the last year of my childhood? I don't know, but I do know that it's going to be a great year!! My birthday was so amazing! Even though I had to do school (and alot of it!), I had a great time. 10 of my friends contacted me in some way to tell me happy birthday! (Thanks guys! You made it an amazing birthday!). My family was nice to me all day. I got Pirouette Cookies!!! My favorites ever! They are truly the best. And a gift card to Hollywood Tans!!! I am so excited! I have never been tanning, but it's going to be fun. I have to decide when to use it now. It's a difficult decision. And ...

UUUGGH!

Yet again, I must say that the cold weather is not my most favorite! It has cancelled my babysitting job for tomorrow morning, before it's even morning! When the school district that the Bible study is in had a two-hour delay, I dont sit. It's as simple as that. At least I can look forward to babysitting the George's on Saturday. They are by far my most fun job. It's like it's not even a job, we have so much fun!

A Break From Break

Image
This day was enevitable. I knew it would come and in a way, I'm kind of glad for it. My nearly two month break from school is officially over. I'm not exactly sure how it happened, but I got 82 days of school in by the first week of January. So I had my two week Christmas breakm then worked for a week then went on break again. I didn't have anything to do for school other than Governor's School application stuff, so I devoted almost the entire month of January to doing that. Today was my first day at Agora Cyber Charter school. It was really neat, I actually loved it. THere is just something about starting school back up that is bittersweet. I've practically been on summer vacation, but had all of my work done. It's weird, but I liked it. I was able to get so much accomplished! I got my room cleaned (though you might not be ableto tell now!), I got odds and ends ties up for my transition to cyber school, I got most of my application complete, and I went on vacat...

Pine Trees Are Not Pretty

Well not compared to Palm Trees. Much to my dismay, we are back from sun-shiney Florida. Our flight came in at 11:30 last night, but we didn't get home until nearly 1:00. Though it is so cold, its good to be back home and sleeping in my own bed. I got ten hours of sleep last night, which is the most I've had in probably two weeks! Our vacation was sweet! It was in the upper thirties for the first two days, but after that it was 60, 70, and 80. We got to swim on Saturday with Rebekah and Josh Krayzel. I was so happy to see Rebekah; we picked up right where we left off. It was really cool to go to all of the theme parks again. I have little glimpses saved in my memory from our last trip in 2000; the cool thing is that all of the things I remembered are just as they were nine years ago. At first I didn't buy into the whole "magical Disney" thing, but after seeing beautiful, flower-sprinkeled trails , flowers and the magnificent fireworks at Cinderella's C...

The Place Where Dreams Come True

Image
OMG. We are here. We are happy. We are exhausted. I have so many pictures to show everyone when we get back. I've taken about 450 so far. (All of day one got lost because I lost my camera card.) You can see a couple pictures from Magic Kingdom on my flickr site. (If you don't have my site address and you would like it, please email me.) Well Ta Ta for now. and I hope ya'll are having a wonderous time up there! (Don't be too jealous... the weather has been pretty cold for the last three days!) ~Danielle

The Final Countdown...

Image
Well, we are now nearly 12 hours away from departure and everything is surprisingly calm here. The last suitcase to be packed is the one that will contain our bathroom stuff. All of the kids are scurrying around trying to collect anything they think might be of necessity for flying in a plane. And of course, Hannah had to hear about the recent plane crash into the Hudson River. Upon hearing the announcement on the radio, she said, "Daddy, is our plane going to crash into water, too?" Then Aaron asked, "Dad, is the plane we will be flying on going to be blue?" Kind of like his "pancakes?!" comment on Christmas morning when trying to guess what the big surprise would be. we can always count on Aaron to entertain us with silly antics. But for some reason, it was really important to him to know whether or not we would be on a red, white, or blue air plane. Well, my dear readers, I am happy to tell you that I am going to bring my laptop to Disney, so hop...

He's in Control!

Isaiah 46:7-13 (New King James Version) 7 They bear it on the shoulder, they carry it And set it in its place, and it stands; From its place it shall not move. Though one cries out to it, yet it cannot answer Nor save him out of his trouble. 8 “ Remember this, and show yourselves men; Recall to mind, O you transgressors. 9 Remember the former things of old For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, 10 Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure,’ 11 Calling a bird of prey from the east, The man who executes My counsel, from a far country. Indeed I have spoken it; I will also bring it to pass. I have purposed it; I will also do it. 12 “ Listen to Me, you stubborn-hearted, Who are far from righteousness: 13 I bring My righteousness near, it shall not be far off; My salvation shall not linger. And I will place salvation in Zion, For Israel My glory. ...

Winter Wonderland

Today was a good day. After packing for our trip, we went sledding. I haven't been in probably four years. It was so fun to see Sunny Slopes just like I remember it from when I was little and my dad used to take Dillon and I all the time. It was amazing that nothing has changed. The steep, snow covered hill' the cold, biting wind; the families and groups of friends, even the long and exhausting walk up from the bottom has not changed. Actually, it has. It's worse. lol. When I was younger, I was in a lot better shape. Now, Dillon practically has to drag me up the hill in a sled. (just kidding) It was so beautiful even though it was over cast. The trees glistened with fresh, heaven-sent, powder. The road was slushy but was still a path to the most fun I have had in a long time. I'll never forget going down the hill with Klara and giggling, then bailing and rolling over her arm. I was afraid it was going to be broken. Thankfully it wasn't :-) I am so glad that no one g...

Tonight...

Image
Thank you, my three wonderful friends that accompanied me tonight. It was so nice to sit and chat with you. :-) God has really blessed me today. Thank you Lane, so much, for your encouragement and advice. Thank you for leading me back to God. Thats what a true friend does. It was so cool to see live musicians preform songs that I know! Especially Christian songs. It's rare that you find some one who is on fire for God through their music, and this guy/girl team was definitely that way. So, for right now, I am in an extremely good mood. Thank you God! "All of you is more than enough for all of me... for every thirst and every need. You satisfy me with your love, and all I have in You is more than enough." "Blessed me the name of the Lord, blessed be your name. Blessed be the name of the Lord, blessed be your glorious name... you give and take away, you give and take away, my heart will choose to say... 'Lord blessed be your name!'"

peach yogurt

Image
It's the only kind I like. The smooth texture, the small chunks of peaches... yumm. Today has, so far, consisted of cleaning, and checking out blogs. But I'm greatly anticipating hanging out with friends tonight! it will be fun. :-) Maybe I'll have something more intersting to say later.

Appreciating Life

Image
Well, despite babysitting getting cancelled this morning, I was able to get an entire essay off of my plate! (Thanks for your help, Gram and Aunt Peg!) It was so great and perfect. I am almost ready to put everything together and send it off!!! I wrapped Rebekah's Christmas present today. Something small yet signifigant. I also made chocolate peanut butter cups that tasted good, but weren't really like a reese's. For some odd reason it's like the baking devil has crept up on me again lately... everything I bake is good, but not how it is supposed to turn out. Take the peanutbutter sandwich cookies for instance... I had to use whole wheat pastry flour... They were very delicious, but I would like to try making them with the unhealthy, bleached, white flour. They might taste better. Lucky for me, my dad tried them and said they were good before he got a chance to find out the "secret ingredient". Then today, as I was stirring the chocolate for the cups, Ben saw ...

NO. I did not paint my shirt!

Ok, so I bought this shirt at American Eagle this past week, and thought it was cute. It's all white, with an iris on the front of it. I love it. It fits surprisingly well, but the only problem... people keep asking me if I painted the iris myself. My dad asked if I made my shirt. Hannah asked if I drew on it with markers. ITS ARTISTIC! But I didn't do it!!! I didn't draw the Eagle emblem either. Oh my gosh.... I am so annoyed! So the count down to Disney World begins... officially 6 days until we leave! As the trip ooches closer, our excitement becomes more uncontainable. I'm dying to go on the Rockin' Roller Coaster, Expedition Everest, and the Tower of Terror. Because it will be two of the littles' birthdays while we are there, we'll get to go to breakfast with Mickey, Pluto, Goofy and Minnie... i think. We'll also get to see our friends the Krayzels!!! I am so excited about it. It will be great fun The Official Countdown... 6 days

Saying "Shut Up"

Image
The weekend went well. After drinking a Grande Java Chip Frappiccino from Starbucks on Saturday, I hit the track with Lane. (I'm proud to say that we ran seven laps! Three more till we hit a mile!) Then went to YPCG. It was a good meeting. Mr. Pierson's sermon yesterday on fear was so good. I struggle with fear alot. Fear accompanied by anxiety...then sometimes guilt... remorse...ultimately depression. But it's good to know I can say "shut up" to it. Just shut up, and move on. God doesn't want us to have fear, because when we do, it's not trusting him. That's my "resolution" for the new year... trusting God more. I am prayerfully anxious to see how He will meet me. So good bye fear and anxiety! "You know my frame, you know how I am made, you planned all my days. Every moment you are there, watching over you hear my prayer. You go before me... you're behind me... nothing is hidden from you!" -How Good It Is

What a Genius!

Image
Ok, so have you ever gone through an entire day that was sincerely productive? Thats the kind of day I had yesterday. I felt good. Almost too good... and sure enough, it was too good. lol. Last night was good, I got a quiet evening to myself. It was just me, my lovely laundry, and Grey's. I got all of my laundry done! I even made filled peanutbutter sandwhich cookies! It was great. It wasn't until last night at 12:30 as I was telling my mom "good night" that she asked..."Hey Danielle, were you supposed to babysit this morning?" And after thinking the entire day that it was Wednesday, (I knew it was Thursday though, because my parents had Care Group.) I said "Oh. crap. yes." It's not like it was a job with one or two kids either! It was mt Thursday morning job. The one for the Bible study. The ne with eleven to thirteen kids! And how dumb of me! I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT IT!!!! UGH! Thoughts like "Oh, right, how smart of you!...

I'll take an SAT with a side of Fried Brains

Image
Today has consisted of SAT preparation. It's going fairly well. I chose to work on my most favorite section first... the sentence completion. It's the easiest, in my opinion, because there are strictly difinitive answers for each question. Not much room for imagination. I like that. It's kind of like memorization. An area I have been blessed with. I enjoy memorizing things, usually. :-) Lately, I have been struggling with trusting God with my future. A problem that I'm sure many other Juniors and Seniors have at this stressful time in their lives. But the prophetic word Mr. Prater gave on Sunday, followed by his sermon was such a comfort to me. My future is not being revealed yet because... well, the Master doesn't want it to be revealed yet. He is in control of everything and orchestrates all things for our good and His glory. There is not one thing in our lives that God does not have a complete handle on. Sure, He gives us free will, but He knows ...

Today

Today was a surprisingly good day. I'm glad, because this morning when I woke up, I really didn't want to get out of bed. But my computer and various types of school work were calling my name.... Well, ok. It wasn't my school, it was my mom. So I had no other choice than to, as we call it, "Roll Out." You know... as in "Roll out of bed." It's a fairly common term used in our house thats not generally directed at me,*hmm hmm dill hmm hmm.* Well I had some not-so-good-for-you toaster waffles, cheese (Sharp Cheddar, and yes, I do know that it's kind of odd to be eating that for breakfast), and a cold glass of milk. A well rounded breakfast if I do say so myself. However, my mom did have to talk to me about eating cheese all the time. It's just so good! No carbs, and six grams of protein! It's like a super food! After pondering through some school work, we loaded up and went to the Track. It's becoming a M-W-F habit. Hopefully...
