I'll take 3 please!

So today as I was sitting in the waiting room of National Tire and Battery getting my car's oil changed I was watching the "Fox Business" channel. Minute after minute went by, but it seemed like hours. The mundane news anchors talked about how dumb it is to invest in gold bars, and how the flies in Georgia are beginning to migrate North for the winter. (the thing about flies isnt real, but it shows you how much attention I was paying to the TV). I was just about to bust out my iPod when I heard something that piqued my attention. A famous Japanese fashion designer invented an H1N1 suit. It looks just like a business suit, but the fabric on the outside has high-powered infection repellant so the H1N1 germ is killed instantly upon contact. The other thing I HAD to laugh at is the fact that Barrack Hussien Obama is the winner of this year's Nobel Peace Prize. mmmmhmmm. You read that right. He was awarded the prestegious honor not because of what he has done for this country, rather... the HOPE for what he MIGHT do. It was also brought to attention that the voting on the winner of this year's prize was concluded just ONE MONTH into his presidency. Even Obama himself was shocked that he won the prize (or at least he appeared to be when on TV). I just don't understand why the prize didn't go to someone who made an advancement in research for HIV or cancer. I really don't know who should have been chosen to receive the award, but I really don't think it should have been him. What is this world coming to?


Ridiculous I tell you. Ridiculous.

I just had a thought. This time next summer, I will have chosen a college, secured financial aide, and found a room mate. The only decisions left will be what color I want my dorm room bed spread. Not Much but Just Enough

It is so incredibly easy to lose sight of where you are in life.  One thing piles onto the next and all of a sudden you are swampped with a million things lined up in your datebook and a billion thoughts going through your mind.  Sometimes I get so overwhelemed in my own life and busyness that I lose track of all the great things God is doing for me.  As some of you may know, I quit my job at Giant Eagle to persue photography full time.  I can't really describe the feeling of peace I had about it when I made the decision; I just knew it was the right thing to do.  At first it was slow going and kind of discouraging, but over the last couple of months I have been able to make enough money solely through photography to support myself and all of my expenses.  It would be easy to stop at that and brag on myself and my accomplishments, but I truly am humbled by the fact that God would choose to bless my efforts to use the talent he gave me to make a living....
